Questions before going solar

Work through roof suitability, utility terms and installation proposals before committing to a solar project. Pages are built from official sources and checked before publication.

Questions this site will answer

• Is my roof suitable for the proposed system?
• What should I check about an installer’s qualifications?
• Who owns the system under the proposed agreement?
• How does my utility handle electricity sent to the grid?
• What records should I request when buying a home with solar?
